In chapter 8 of the book of Tobias, Tobias and Sara marry and offer a prayer to God. The following verses are related to the themes of this chapter:
Genesis 2:24: "Therefore you will leave the man to his father and his mother, and will join his wife, and they will both be a flesh." This verse talks about marriage union, which is what happens between Tobias and Sarah in Tobias 8.
Ecclesiastes 9:9: "Enjoy life with the woman who loves, every day of your vain life, which God has given you under the sun, every day of your vanity; for this is your portion in this life, and in Your work, which you did under the sun. " This verse talks about enjoying life with his wife, which is what Tobias and Sara do when they get married.
Proverbs 5:18-19: "Your spring be blessed, and rejoice with the woman of your youth. As a loving cervo, and graceful Gazella, your breasts sat down all the time; and for your love you are attracted to perpetually. " This verse talks about the joy and satisfaction that can be found in marriage.
Ecclesiastical 26:1-4: "Happy is the husband of a good wife, because the number of his days will be double. A virtuous wife rejoices her husband, and he will fulfill the days of his life in peace. A good woman is a good woman Much of his inheritance, given in grace to those who fear the Lord. Rich or poor, the heart of her husband is happy, and at all times his face is happy. " This verse talks about the importance of finding a virtuous wife and how she can bring happiness and peace to her husband.
Ephesians 5:25-28: "You, husbands, love your women, as Christ also loved the Church, and He surrendered to Himself to sanctify it, having purified it by washing water by the Word , to present to himself glorious church, without macula, no wrinkle, no similar, but holy and blameless. Thus the husbands should love their own women, as their own bodies. To yourself." This verse talks about the love that a husband must have for his wife, just as Christ loved the church.
