Joshua, 14

12. Therefore, grant to me this mountain, which the Lord has promised in your hearing also, on which are the Anakim, and cities, great and fortified. Perhaps it may be that the Lord will be with me, and I will be able to destroy them, just as he promised to me.”

Joshua chapter 14 describes how the land of Canaan was divided between the tribes of Israel, and as Caleb, one of the spies sent by Moses to the promised land, asked Joshua to give him a portion of land that had been promised to him for God. Caleb is an example of faith and perseverance, for despite his advanced age, he was still willing to fight for his inheritance on Earth.
