Isaiah, 53

8. He was lifted up from anguish and judgment. Who will describe his life? For he has been cut off from the land of the living. Because of the wickedness of my people, I have struck him down.

Matthew 8:17: "that what had been said by the prophet Isaiah that he took our diseases upon himself and carried our diseases upon himself." This verse quotes Isaiah 53:4, who talks about how the suffering servant carried our pain and sickness.
