1 Maccabees, 7

7. Now, therefore, send a man, whom you trust, and let him go and see all the destruction he has done to us and to the regions of the king. And let him punish all his friends and their helpers.”

The seventh chapter of 1 Maccabees reports the battle between the armies of Judas Macabeus and the Antiochus King. During the fight, many Jews die and their bodies are dishonored by enemy soldiers.
