Jeremiah 14 deals with the lack of rain in Judah and the cry of the people to God to send rain. However, God tells Jeremiah that he will not send rain because the people are wicked and did not repent. The chapter ends with Jeremiah praying to God in the name of the people, asking for forgiveness and help. Following are five verses related to the topics addressed in Jeremiah 14:

Deuteronomy 28:23-24: "Heaven over your head will be bronze, and the earth under your feet, of iron. The Lord will give by rain over your earth powder and dust; be destroyed. " These verses show how lack of rain is a sign of God's disapproval that can lead to destruction.

1 Kings 17:1: "Then Elijah, The Tesbite, of the residents of Gilead, said to Ahab: 'As certain as the Lord lives, God of Israel, before whose face I am, that in these years neither dew nor rain there will be, but according to my word. '"These verses talk about Elijah, a prophet who, under God's command, brought the drought to Israel as a judgment for the sins of the people.

2 Chronicles 7:13-14: "If I close the sky, and there is no rain; or to order the grasshops to consume the earth; or to send the plague between my people; and if my people are called for My name, humble yourself, and pray, and seek my face, and convert from your evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive your sins and heal your land. " These verses show that God promised to forgive and heal the earth if the people repent and pray to Him.

Isaiah 55:10-11: "For, just as the rain and snow of heaven, and they do not make it first set off the earth, and fertilize it, and make it sprout, to give seed to the sower and bread to bread What eats, this will be the word that comes out of my mouth: it will not return to me empty, but will do what will be pleased and prosper in that I have sent it. " These verses show how rain is a symbol of God's Word that can bring life and prosperity.

Zechariah 10:1: "Peda to the Lord rain in the time of late rain, yes, to the Lord, who makes the lightning; and will give them abundant rain, and to each one, weed in the field." This verse talks about how God can send rain and prosperity if the people pray and ask with faith.
