3. And then Mary took twelve ounces of pure spikenard ointment, very precious, and she anointed the feet of Jesus, and she wiped his feet with her hair. And the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

Chapter 12 of the Gospel of St. John tells the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem and being received with praise by the crowd. However, he also talks about Jesus' rejection by Jewish religious leaders and the prediction of his imminent death.
