Leviticus, 18

27. For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.

Leviticus 18 deals with sexual prohibitions in God's law for the people of Israel. The verses selected below deal with different aspects of prohibited sexual relationships and their consequences:

Deuteronomy 27:20: "Damn one who lie with his father's wife, for he profaped his father's bed." This verse condemns sexual intercourse with the father's wife, one of the prohibitions mentioned in Leviticus 18:8.
