Acts, 1

11. And they said: “Men of Galilee, why do you stand here looking up toward heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall return in just the same way that you have seen him going up to heaven.”

Acts of Apostles 1 is the first chapter of the book that reports the events of the apostles after the rise of Jesus. In this chapter, it is narrated as Jesus appeared to the apostles after his resurrection, giving them instructions and promising baptism in the Holy Spirit. Shortly thereafter, he is elevated to the heavens before the disciples' eyes. The following verses were selected because they are related to the topics addressed in Acts of Apostles 1:
