Deuteronomy 1:32-33: "However, you did not want to go, but you rebelled against the commandment of the Lord, your God. You murmured in your tents and said, 'The Lord hates us; so brought us from Egypt to surrender us into the hands of the Amorites and destroy us. " This verse shows how disbelief can prevent people from entering God's rest, how it happened to the Israelites who refused to trust God and rebelled against Him, even after they saw all the miracles He did for them in Egypt.
Psalm 95:7-8: "For He is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, the flock he leads. If only you hear your voice today, do not harde the heart as in Meribá, as in Massa in the desert. James 4:16: "How do you know what will happen tomorrow? Your life is like the fog at dawn: it's a fleeting." This verse reminds us of the brevity of life and the importance of seeking God as we still have time, that we may enter God's rest through faith in Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11:6: "Without faith it is impossible to please God, because whoever approaches him must believe that He exists and that they reward those who seek Him." This verse highlights the importance of faith in God so that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence and receive mercy and grace in time of necessity.
