Ezekiel 7 describes the arrival of the day of judgment on Jerusalem because of its disobedience and sin. The verses selected below reflect God's judgment on the people of Jerusalem and their lack of repentance:
Isaiah 13:6: "Shout of pain, for the day of the Lord is close; as a destruction coming from the Almighty, he will come!" This verse announces the arrival of the day of the Lord, a day of judgment for those who rebelled against God and His will.
Jeremiah 30:7: "Ah! What a great day that will be! There will be no other like him. It will be time for anguish to Jacob, but he will be saved from this anguish." This verse talks about the day of judgment, which will be a time of great anguish, but those who turn to God will be saved.
SHAPONIES 1:14-15: "The great day of the Lord is near, close and coming quickly. The sound of the day of the Lord is bitter; devastation and destruction, day of darkness and darkness, day of clouds and dense darkness. " This verse vividly describes the arrival of judgment day, a day of great destruction and darkness.
Zechariah 14:1-2: "Behold, the day of the Lord is coming, and your withdrawal will be divided among you. For I will gather all the nations to fight against Jerusalem; the city will be taken, the houses will be looted, and Women will be raped. Half of the city will go to exile, but the rest of the people will not be halted from the city. " This verse prophesies the fall of Jerusalem in the hands of his enemies because of his sin and disobedience to God.
Ezekiel 18:30: "Therefore, O nation of Israel, I will judge him to each one according to his procedure, declares the sovereign, the Lord. Repent! For you reason for stumbling. " This verse highlights the importance of repentance and change of behavior before God's judgment.
