Deuteronomy, 31

21. And when many evils and troubles have come upon them, this song shall confront them as a witness (for it will live unforgotten in the mouths of their descendants); for I know the purposes which they are already forming, before I have brought them into the land that I swore to give."

Deuteronomy 31 addresses the transition from Moses to Joshua and the importance of obedience to God's law. Psalm 119:165: "Great peace have those who love your law, and for them there is no stumble." Obedience to God's law brings peace and avoids sin.

Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust the Lord of all your heart, and do not stir in your own understanding. Recognizes him in all your ways, and he will straighten your paths." Confidence in God and obedience to your law are important for guidance in life.

Romans 2:13: "For the simple listeners of the law are not righteous before God, but those who practice the law will be justified." Obedience to God's Law is important for justification before Him.
