1 Maccabees, 13

29. And for the pyramids he devised an elaborate setting, erecting about them great columns, and upon the columns he put suits of armor for a permanent memorial, and beside the suits of armor carved ships, so that they could be seen by all who sail the sea.

Chapter 13 of 1 Maccabees continues the narrative of the war between Judas Macabeus and the enemies of the people of Israel. 2 Maccabees 15:22-23: "being all so happy, they spent the night in the countryside. And the next day, near noon, they marched to the fortress." These verses show the joy of the people of Israel after the victory of Judas and the continuation of the battle against the enemy.

Ephesians 6:11: "Coat of all God's armor, that you may be firm against the shrewd cunning of the devil." This verse shows the importance of spiritual preparation for battle and how important it is to have strong armor to fight spiritual enemies.
