2 Chronicles 7 tells the conclusion of the construction of Solomon's temple and his dedication to God. 2 Chronicles 6:40: "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your listeners attentive to the prayer that I do to you in this place." This verse refers to Solomon's prayer asking God to hear the prayers made in the temple. It is a memory of the importance of prayer in a place consecrated to God.
