Luke, 21

24. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword; and shall be led away captives into all nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down by the Gentiles; till the times of the nations be fulfilled.

2 Peter 3:10: "There shall come, as a thief the day of the Lord, in which heaven will pass with a great crash, and the elements, burning, shall dissolve, and the earth, and the works that exist in it, will be discovered. Matthew 24:42: "Watch, for you do not know what day your Lord comes in." As in St. Luke 21, Jesus emphasizes the importance of vigilance and readiness for his second coming.
