Acts, 23

27. This man had been seized by the Jews and would have been murdered by them; but I came on the scene with my troops and got him away, having discovered that he was a Roman citizen.

Chapter 23 Acts of the Apostles narrates the continuation of the persecution suffered by Paul after his preaching in Jerusalem. He appears before the Sanhedrin and makes his defense, but is attacked by the Sadducees and needs to be protected by the Roman soldiers. Romans 8:28: "We know that God acts in all things for the good of those who love Him, of those who were called according to their purpose." This verse talks about how God can use all things, even the difficult ones, to fulfill His purpose in our lives.
