Numbers 17 presents the story of Aaron and his flowered rod. God commanded each leader of the twelve tribes of Israel to deposit his rod in the tabernacle so that the rod of the man who would choose flourish, indicating that this tribe would be chosen by God. The next day, the Aaron Court flourished and produced almonds, proving that God had chosen him to be the high priest. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in numbers 17:
Exodus 4:2-4: "Then the Lord asked him, What is this in your hand? He answered him, a rod. And he said unto him, Line it on earth. He threw it into the earth, and she He became snake; and Moses fled from her. The Lord said to Moses, He reaches his hand and picked up his tail. He reached out, picked up his tail, and she became a stick in his hand. " This verse presents a situation in which God transformed a stick into a snake, demonstrating his power and authority.
Leviticus 8:12: "He poured the anointing oil over Aaron's head, and anointed him to sanctify him." This verse describes Aaron's anointing as a high priest and shows how he was consecrated to the service to God.
Hebrews 5:4-5: "And no one takes this honor to himself, but when he called God, like Aaron. This verse describes the ark of the covenant, which was one of the sacred objects in the tabernacle and represented the presence of God.
Hebrews 9:3-4: "Behind the second veil was the tent that is called Saint of the Saints, having a gold altar for incense and the ark of the alliance, all golden-covered, in which was a vase of Gold containing the Manna, the Aaron Court, which flourished, and the tablets of the covenant. " This verse describes the saint of saints in the tabernacle, which was the most sacred place where only the high priest could come once a year.
