Jeremiah, 11

Jeremiah 11 deals with the covenant God made with the people of Israel and their infidelity to fulfill the terms of this covenant. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in this chapter, in order of proximity to the themes:
Deuteronomy 28:9: "The Lord will confirm to you as a holy people, how you swore to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God, and walk in your ways." This verse speaks of God's promise to bless and protect his people if they kept their commandments and follow their ways.
Leviticus 26:15-16: "And if you do not hear me and do not fulfill all these commandments, if you despise my statutes and your soul tire of my judgments, so that you do not want to fulfill all my commandments, thus nullifying mine Covenant, I will do this: I will put upon you the terror, his scholars, and the burning fever, who will consume the eyes and to define the soul; and shall sow in vain your seed, for your enemies will eat it. " This verse speaks of the consequences of disobedience to the covenant with God, including disease and crop failure.
Deuteronomy 28:15: "Is it that if you do not listen to the voice of the Lord your God, to keep all your commandments and statutes that I command you today, all these curses will come upon you, and will reach you." This verse speaks of the curses that God would bring about His people if they did not obey His covenant.
Ezekiel 16:59-60: "For thus says the Lord God, I will do to you as you did, who despised the oath, violating the covenant. However, I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and establish an eternal covenant with you . " This verse speaks of God's faithfulness to his covenant, even when his people do not fulfill it, and his promise of an eternal covenant with them.
Psalm 25:10: "All the ways of the Lord are mercy and truth to those who keep their covenant and their testimonies." This verse speaks of the importance of obedience to the covenant with God and the promise of mercy and truth to those who keep it.
