Acts, 23

15. Now therefore ye with the council signify to the chief captain that he bring him down unto you to morrow, as though ye would enquire something more perfectly concerning him: and we, or ever he come near, are ready to kill him.

Chapter 23 Acts of the Apostles narrates the continuation of the persecution suffered by Paul after his preaching in Jerusalem. He appears before the Sanhedrin and makes his defense, but is attacked by the Sadducees and needs to be protected by the Roman soldiers. Jeremiah 1:8: "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to protect you," says the Lord. "This is a message of God's encouragement to Jeremiah, who called Him to be a prophet in difficult times.

Romans 8:28: "We know that God acts in all things for the good of those who love Him, of those who were called according to their purpose." This verse talks about how God can use all things, even the difficult ones, to fulfill His purpose in our lives.
