2 Samuel, 18

3. But the people answered, Thou shalt not go forth: for if we flee away, they will not care for us; neither if half of us die, will they care for us: but now [thou art] worth ten thousand of us: therefore now [it is] better that thou succour us out of the city.

David experiences great sadness and pain with the death of his son in 2 Samuel 18, but this Psalm reminds us that God is close to those who are suffering and oppressed. We can trust God to save us and comfort ourselves in times of difficulty.

Psalm 147:3: "Healing the broken from the heart and turns on the wounds." This psalm talks about God's goodness and mercy, which heals the broken hearts and cares for the wounded. In 2 Samuel 18, David faces the loss of his son, but can find comfort in trust in God as a curator and comforter.
