1 Kings 9 tells the Lord's answer to Solomon after the completion of the construction of the temple and the palace. The chapter deals mainly to the covenant between God and Solomon, as well as the fulfillment of the promises God made to David. 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, which is called by my name, humble themselves, pray and pursue my face and move away from their evil ways, from heaven I will hear him, forgive his sin and heal his earth .
