Chapter 21 of the book of Revelation talks about the New Jerusalem, the Holy City of God that descends from heaven. He describes the beauty and glory of this eternal city, where there will be no more pain, death or sadness. Isaiah 65:17: "For behold, I create new heavens and new earth; and there will be no memory of past things, they will no longer remember." This verse talks about the creation of new heavens and new earth, which is a theme similar to the new heaven and the new earth mentioned in Revelation 21:1.
