1 Kings, 11

18. And they arose out of Midian, and came to Paran: and they took men with them out of Paran, and they came to Egypt, unto Pharaoh king of Egypt; which gave him an house, and appointed him victuals, and gave him land.

1 Kings 11 describes the apostasy of King Solomon, who disobeyed the Lord by marrying many foreign women and allowing them to introduce idolatry in Israel. Deuteronomy 17:17: "And you will not take many women to you, so that your heart may not deviate; and will not accumulate much silver and much gold." This verse shows how Solomon disobeyed this law of God, marrying many foreign women who brought idolatry to Israel.
