1 Chronicles, 6

49. But Aaron and his sons offered upon the altar of the burnt offering, and on the altar of incense, [and were appointed] for all the work of the [place] most holy, and to make an atonement for Israel, according to all that Moses the servant of God had commanded.

Chapter 6 of 1 chronicles presents the genealogy of the Levites, including the descendants of Aaron, the first high priest. Exodus 6:16-20: "These are the names of Levi's children, according to their generations: Gérson, Coate and Merari. And the years of Levi's life were one hundred and thirty-seven years.
