35. If heaven shall be shut up, and there shall be no rain, because of their sins, and they praying in this place, shall do penance to thy name, and shall be converted from their sins, by occasion of their afflictions:

John 2:19-21: "Jesus answered, and said unto them, Detrine this temple, and in three days I will lift him. The Jews said, in forty-six years, this temple was built, and thou shalt get him up in three Days? But he spoke of the temple of his body. " This verse is a reference to the body of Jesus as the new temple, emphasizing the importance of faith in Christ as the way to salvation.
