Chapter 13 of the Judges Book tells the story of Samson's birth. An angel of the Lord appeared to the wife of Manoá, who was barren, and announced that she would give birth to a son who would be consecrated to God from the womb and would begin to free Israel from the yoke of the Philistines. After that, the angel is gone and Manoá and his wife acknowledged that they had seen God Himself.

Psalm 22:10: "From the womb my mother sustained me; you are the one who took me out of my mother's bowels; my praise will always be for you." This verse speaks of the protection and care God has to his children, just as with Samson since before his birth.

Matthew 1:21: and shall give birth to a son and shall call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from his sins. " This verse talks about the birth of Jesus, which was also announced by an angel and had a special purpose, as with Samson.
