2 Samuel, 1

22. The shield of Saul was not anointed with oil; but with the blood of the slain. From the fat of the warriors, the bow of Jonathan did not turn back, nor did the sword of Saul return unstained.

Versi relativi a 2 Samuel, 1:

Chapter 2 of Samuel 1 reports the death of Saul and his son Jonathan and the lament of David for the loss of his friend Jonathan. The following verses deal with topics such as death, mourning and friendship.

Proverbs 17:17: "At all times the friend loves and for the time of anguish the brother is born." This verse highlights the importance of friendship and shows how it can become even stronger in difficult times.

Psalm 116:15: "Precious is in the sight of the Lord the death of his saints." This verse can bring comfort to those who have lost loved ones, for it shows that God cares about the death of their children and that it is valuable in their eyes.

John 11:25-26: "Jesus said unto him, I am the resurrection and life; whoever believes in me, even though he is dead, shall live; and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die. This verse brings hope and comfort to those who believe in Jesus and eternal life.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14: "But we do not want brothers, may you be ignorant with respect to those who sleep, that you may not sadden yourself like the others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and risen, so does it also To those who sleep in Jesus, God will bring them again with Him. " This verse also talks about eternal life and shows that those who die in Christ will be raised by God.

2 Corinthians 1:3-4: "Blessed be the God and the Father of Our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Mercies and God of all consolation, who comforts us in all our tribulation, so that we may also comfort those who are in Some tribulation, with the consolation we are comforted by God. " This verse talks about God's role as one who comforts us in difficult times and also encourages us to comfort others who are experiencing similar tribulations.
