Joshua chapter 13 describes how God commanded Joshua to distribute the land of Canaan among the tribes of Israel. This chapter presents the list of lands that were won and should be distributed among the tribes. Below are five verses related to the topics addressed in Joshua 13.
Numbers 33:53: "And ye shall disagree the residents of the earth, and shall dwell in it; for I have given you the earth to possess it." This verse speaks of God's promise to give the land of Canaan to the Israelites to possess. This promise was fulfilled in the conquest of Canaan and the distribution of land between the tribes.
Ezekiel 47:13: "Thus saith the Lord God, This is the limit that you shall divide the earth in inheritance to the twelve tribes of Israel; Joseph will have two parts."
