Deuteronomy, 25

Deuteronomy 25 addresses various laws and rules of social conduct that Israelites should follow. Some of the laws include the punishment for the one who deserves a whipping, the obligation to marry the sister -in -law in case of widowhood and the need to use fair and honest measures in business. Leviticus 19:35-36: "Do not use different weights, one heavy and one light. Use only righteous and honest measures and measures, I am the Lord, your God." This verse reinforces the importance of using fair and honest measures, the theme addressed in Deuteronomy 25:13-16.
