28. Also all that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Jo'ab the son of Zeru'iah had dedicated -- all dedicated gifts were in the care of Shelo'moth and his brethren.

" This verse highlights the importance of organizing the groups of porters, according to their divisions in each door, established by David.

Psalm 118:19-20: "Open to me the doors of righteousness; I will enter them and praise the Lord. This is the door of the Lord, by which the righteous can enter." Psalm 24:7-10: "Rose, O portals, their heads are raised; Powerful Lord in battle. Once your heads are raised; Once, O eternal doors, that the king of glory may come in! Who is this king of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the king of glory!" This psalm celebrates the triumphal entry of the king of glory, the Lord of hosts, through the gates of the temple of God.
