Chapter 2 of Haggai talks about the restoration of the Jerusalem temple, which had been destroyed by the Babylonians. Ageu prophesies that the glory of this temple will be greater than that of the previous temple and that God will bring prosperity to the people of Judah. 2 Chronicles 36:23: "Thus says Cyrus, king of Persia: The Lord God of heaven has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and in charge of building me a house in Jerusalem, who is in Judah.
