Wisdom of Solomon, 1

11. Therefore beware of murmuring, which is unprofitable; and refrain your tongue from backbiting: for there is no word so secret, that shall go for nought: and the mouth that belieth slayeth the soul.

Proverbs 2:6-7: "For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He reserves true wisdom to the straight; shield is for those who walk in sincerity." These verses point out that wisdom comes from God and is reserved for those who walk in sincerity.
