Luke, 18

31. Then he took [unto him] the twelve, and said unto them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of man shall be accomplished.

James 4:10: "Humiliate you before the Lord, and he will exalt you." The parable of the Pharisee and the publican in Luke 18:9-14 highlights the importance of humility before God. Hebrews 11:6: "Now, without faith it is impossible to please him, because it is necessary that he who approaches God believes that he exists and is a rewarding of those who seek him."
