Ezekiel, 23

15. And girded with girdles about their reins, and with dyed turbans on their heads, the resemblance of all the captains, the likeness of the sons of Babylon, and of the land of the Chaldeans wherein they were born,

Ezekiel 23 is a chapter that describes the infidelity of Israel and Judah about God, using a metaphor of two sisters who prostitute themselves. The chapter shows how God's people moved away from him and surrendered to idolatry and immorality. Jeremiah 3:8: "And I saw that because of all this, because I have committed adultery Israel, I had repudiated it and given to its divorce letter, because I had betrayed me." In this verse, God talks about Israel's adultery and how He repudiated it because of it. In Chapter 23 of Ezekiel, the metaphor of the prostitute sisters also talks about the infidelity of God's people.

1 Peter 1:16: "For it is written, Holy, because I am holy." This verse talks about the importance of seeking holiness, imitating God's holiness. In Chapter 23 of Ezekiel, the infidelity of Israel and Judah is described as a lack of holiness and a removal of God.

Hosea 4:12: "My people consult their stick, and their rod responds to them; for the spirit of prostitution deceives them, and prostitute themselves, abandoning their God." In this verse, the idolatry of God's people is described as a form of spiritual prostitution. In Ezekiel chapter 23, the metaphor of the prostitute sisters is used to describe the idolatry of God's people.

Isaiah 1:16: "Wash, purify you, take the evil from your acts from before my eyes; cease to do evil." In this verse, God talks about the importance of purification and repentance. In Chapter 23 of Ezekiel, the infidelity of Israel and Judah is a lack of purification and a removal from the way of God.

1 Corinthians 10:14: "Therefore, my beloved, I ran away from idolatry." This verse talks about the importance of preventing idolatry and remaining faithful to God. In Ezekiel's chapter 23, the metaphor of the prostitute sisters is used to describe the idolatry of God's people, showing the importance of moving away from it.
