Chapter 26 of Exodus describes the specifications for the construction of the tabernacle. It should be done with fine linen curtains, with blue fabric cherubim, red and purple embroidered with them. The curtains should be suspended by acacia columns of gold -coated acacia and fixed with hooks and bars. Following are five verses related to topics addressed in Exodus 26:
Hebrews 9:11: "But Christ comes, the high priest of future goods, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not done by hands, that is, not of this creation," this verse relates to Exodus 26, for he talks about Heavenly Tabernacle, which is superior to the earthly tabernacle built according to the specifications detailed in Chapter 26.
1 Corinthians 6:19: "Or do you not know that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, which dwells in you, from God, and that you are not yourselves?" This verse relates to Exodus 26, for the earthly tabernacle was a symbol of the place where God dwelt with his people, just as the Holy Spirit dwells in Christians.
John 1:14: "And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, as the glory of the Father's only begotten, full of grace and truth." This verse relates to Exodus 26, for the earthly tabernacle was the place where God dwelt with his people, just like Jesus, who is the incarnation of God, dwelt among men.
1 Peter 2:5: "You also, as living stones, are built -up House and Holy Priesthood, to offer pleasant spiritual sacrifices to God for Jesus Christ." This verse relates to Exodus 26, for the earthly tabernacle was the place where the people offered sacrifices to God, just as Christians offer spiritual sacrifices in their own lives as part of the holy priesthood.
Revelation 21:3: "And I heard a great voice from heaven, which said, Here is the tabernacle of God with men, for with them will dwell, and they will be His people, and the same God will be with them, and will be the Your God. " This verse relates to Exodus 26, for the earthly tabernacle was a symbol of the place where God dwelt with his people, just as the heavenly tabernacle described in Revelation will be where God will dwell with his chosen ones.
