Exodus, 20

24. You shall make an altar of earth unto me, and you shall offer upon it your holocausts and peace offerings, your sheep and oxen, in every place where the memory of my name shall be: I will come to thee, and will bless thee.

Exodus 20 is one of the most important chapters of the Bible, for in it are presented the ten commandments, which are the basic principles of God's law. These commandments are the pillars of Christian morality and ethics, and guide human behavior towards God and neighbor. From this premise, we can find the following related verses:

Matthew 22:36-40: "Master, what is the great commandment in the law? Jesus answered him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, and with all thy understanding. Great and first commandment. And the second, similar to this, is, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. These two commandments depend on the whole law and the prophets. 1 John 5:3: "For this is the love of God, Let us keep His commandments; and His commandments are not heavy." This verse shows that love for God manifests itself through obedience to His commandments, which are a reflection of His character and will to humanity.
