2 Chronicles, 7

10. On the twenty-third day of the seventh month Solomon dismissed the people who returned to their homes, rejoicing and with happy hearts for the goodness Yahweh had shown to David, to Solomon and to his people Israel.

2 Chronicles 7 tells the conclusion of the construction of Solomon's temple and his dedication to God. Psalm 27:4: "One thing I asked the Lord, is what I seek: that I can live in the house of the Lord every day of my life, to contemplate the Lord's goodness and seek his orientation in his temple." This verse highlights the importance of the temple as a place of worship and search for divine orientation.

2 Chronicles 6:40: "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your listeners attentive to the prayer that I do to you in this place." This verse refers to Solomon's prayer asking God to hear the prayers made in the temple. It is a memory of the importance of prayer in a place consecrated to God.

1 Kings 8:11: "The priests could not continue to minister because of the cloud, for the glory of the Lord filled the house of the Lord." This verse describes the glory of God who filled the temple after its conclusion, showing the importance of God's presence in that place.

Psalm 122:1: "I rejoiced when they said, 'Let's go to the house of the Lord.'" This verse highlights the joy of going to the temple and worshiping the Lord in community.

2 Chronicles 7:3: "When all the children of Israel saw the fire come down and the glory of the Lord over the temple, they knelt with their face on the ground on the floor, they worshiped and gave thanks to the Lord, saying, 'He is good ! Your love lasts forever'." This verse records the response of the people to the manifestation of God's glory in the temple, showing the importance of worship and gratitude to God.
