He warns the Thessalonians not to be fooled by false doctrines or signs and urges them to remain firm in the truth of the Gospel. Matthew 24:23-26: "If anyone then tells them, 'See, here is Christ!" Or, 'There he is!', Do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will arise that will perform great signs and wonders to, if possible, deceive even the elected. See that I warned them in advance. So if someone tells them: ' He's in the desert! ', Don't leave; or,' There he's! ', Don't believe it. 2 Peter 2:1: "In the past there were false prophets among the people, as will also arise among you false teachers. 1 John 4:1: "Beloved, do not believe in any spirit, but examine the spirits to see if they proceed from God, for many false prophets have come out around the world."
