Deuteronomy, 17

15. Thou shalt in any wise set [him] king over thee, whom the LORD thy God shall choose: [one] from among thy brethren shalt thou set king over thee: thou mayest not set a stranger over thee, which [is] not thy brother.

Deuteronomy chapter 17 deals with justice and punishment for those who disobey the laws established by God. It is emphasized that it is important to have a fair system of judgment, and that people must follow the decisions of the judges. It is also mentioned that if there are cases where the decision is very difficult, they must resort to the priest or judge at the time.

Leviticus 19:15: "You will not commit injustice in the judgment. You will not make the sense of people with the poor, nor will you lean before the great; with justice you will judge your neighbor." This verse emphasizes the importance of justice in judgment, without distinction of wealth or social position.

Deuteronomy 19:18-19: "The judges shall inquire well; and behold, being false witness, he falsely witnessed against his brother, then you do how he took care of doing his brother; thus shall you take evil from the middle of you. " It is mentioned here that false witnesses should be punished according to the severity of their accusation.

Proverbs 31:9: "Open thy mouth, judge and do justice to the poor and needy." This verse emphasizes the importance of helping the needy and doing justice to those who do not have enough resources.

Isaiah 1:17: "Learn to do good; seek what is just; help the oppressed; do justice to the orphan; deal with the cause of the widows." This verse highlights the importance of doing good and helping the needy.

James 2:9: "But if you make the sense of people, committed sin, and you are condemned by law as transgressors." This verse warns of injustice to distinguish between people and the importance of treating everyone equally.
