Jeremiah, 1

Jeremiah 1 presents the call of Jeremiah to be a prophet of the Lord, as well as some visions and words of encouragement that God gives him. Below are five verses that relate to the topics covered in this chapter:
Isaiah 6:8: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord, calling on," Who will I send? Who will go for us? "And I answered," Here I am. Send me! "" This verse shows the willingness of a servant of God to follow his will, even without knowing exactly what awaits him. This attitude is similar to Jeremiah when he responds to the Lord's call.
Exodus 4:10-12: "Moses answered to the Lord, Ah, Lord! I was never eloquent, in the past or now that you spoke to your servant. I have no ease of word or diction, because I am heavy with mouth and tongue. "The Lord," Who gave a mouth to the man? Who made him deaf or dumb? Who gives him a view or makes him blind? It's not me, the Lord? Now, go; I will be with your mouth and teach you that you will speak. " Moses, like Jeremiah, initially reluctant to accept God's call due to his own insecurities and limitations. But God promises to be with him and enable him to do his will.
Jeremiah 29:11: "For I am the one who I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord, "plans to make them prosper and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future." This verse shows that God has a plan for one's life, just as He had a specific plan for Jeremiah. This promise of God is a source of encouragement for all who seek to fulfill the divine purpose in their lives.
Acts 26:16: "Get up! Put you! I appeared to you to choose you as a servant and as a witness to what you saw from me and what I will show you." In this verse, Paul reports his own call to be an apostle and how God chose him and enabled him to be a testimony of his grace. Like Paul and Jeremiah, God calls his servants to be his witnesses before the world.
2 Timothy 1:7: "For God has not given us a spirit of cowardice, but of power, love and balance." This verse emphasizes that although we may feel intimidated or fearful in fulfilling God's will, He has given us the spirit of power and love to overcome these difficulties. It is a reminder that, like Jeremiah, we can trust God to enable us and strengthen ourselves in our mission.
