Ezekiel, 2

6. And thou, O son of man, fear not, neither be thou afraid of their words: for thou art among unbelievers and destroyers, and thou dwellest with scorpions. Fear not their words, neither be thou dismayed at their looks: for they are a provoking house.

Ezekiel chapter 2 begins with the description of the prophet's vision of God and heavenly beings. God then calls Ezekiel to be a messenger and prophet, sent to speak to the people of Israel and warn them about their sinful conduct. The verses below were selected for their relationship with the theme of the call of Ezekiel as a prophet and their mission to warn the people:

Isaiah 6:8: "Then I heard the voice of the Lord, calling on, 'Who will I send? Who will go for us?' And I answered, 'Here I am. Send me!' "This verse shows the disposition of the prophet Isaiah to offer himself to be sent by God, similar to Ezekiel's answer when God called him to be a messenger.

Jeremiah 1:7-8: "But the Lord said to me, 'Do not say, I am very young. To everyone I send you, you will go, and everything you send you, you will not be afraid of them, because I am with you To get rid, 'says the Lord. " God encourages Jeremiah not to fear, but to trust his protection and guidance, just as He also encouraged Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 3:17: "Son of man, I made sentinel from you to the house of Israel; so he hears the word that I tell you and warn you of me." In this verse, God confirms Ezekiel who chose him to be a sentry and messenger to the people of Israel, as well as the mission of warning them of their sins.

Matthew 10:16: "I send you like sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore, thirst prudent like snakes and simple as doves." This verse shows the similarity between Ezekiel's mission and that of Jesus, who also sent his disciples to preach and warn the people, even in the midst of hostility and opposition.

Acts 20:26-27: "Therefore, on this day I declare you that I am innocent of the blood of all, for I did not fail to proclaim you all the will of God." The apostle Paul declared his faithfulness by fulfilling the mission of preaching God's Word, similar to Ezekiel's commitment to warn the people of Israel of God's will.
