The book of Judith is one of the Old Testament's Deuterocanonian books that tells the story of Judite, a brave widow who saved the city of Betulia from the invasion of the Assyrians. Chapter 1 of this book describes the invasion of the Assyrians led by Nebuchadnezzar and how they conquered several cities, including Israel. " This verse describes how the king of Israel, Hosea, submitted to Assyria and how it ended in conspiracy and betrayal.
2 Kings 17:18: "From what the Lord was very outrageous against Israel and removed them from before his face, and no other tribe was, but only that of Judah." This verse describes how Israel's infidelity and disobedience led to its divine punishment, resulting in its removal from the presence of the Lord.
