Exodus, 9

29. Moses said: “When I have departed from the city, I will extend my hands to the Lord, and the thunders will cease, and the hail will not be, so that you may know that the earth belongs to the Lord.

In Exodus 9, God continues to send pests about Egypt as a way of showing his power and forcing Pharaoh to free the people from Israel. Pests include the death of cattle, ulcers in animals and humans, hail and grasshops.

Job 37:13: "He makes them fall, whether to discipline or to demonstrate his merciful love." This verse talks about how God uses natural events to discipline or show mercy to human beings, which can be applied to the sending of pests to Egypt in Exodus 9.

Isaiah 45:7: "I raise the light and create darkness, promote peace and a disgrace; I, the Lord, do all these things." This verse talks about how God has absolute control over everything that happens on earth, including the ability to send pests and misfortunes.

Jeremiah 5:12: "They deny the Lord, saying, 'He does not exist! There will be nothing evil. We will not see sword or hunger.'" This verse can be applied to Pharaoh's attitude in Exodus 9, which he refused to hear God's warnings and suffered the consequences of the pests.

Deuteronomy 7:15: "The Lord will remove from you all the diseases. He will not allow you to suffer any of the terrible diseases you have known in Egypt; but will impose them on all who hate them." This verse talks about how God can heal and protect your followers from disease and pests, while imposing them on your enemies.

Psalm 105:27-28: "They performed their miraculous signs among them, their wonders in the land of Cam. He sent darkness that surrounded them, and the darkness covered them." This verse talks about the signs and wonders that God performed in Egypt, including the Dark Plague in Exodus 9.
