1 Corinthians, 1

2. to the church of God that is in Corinth, to you who have been sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be holy, with all those everywhere who call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

Isaiah 29:14: "Behold, I will continue to do wonderful work in the midst of this people, wonderful work and a prodigy; for the wisdom of their wise will perish, and the prudence of their prudent will hide." This verse highlights the futility of human wisdom compared to divine wisdom and God's ability to do wonderful things.

Colossians 2:8: "Be careful, so that no one prey to you through philosophies and vain subtleties, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world and not according to Christ." This verse warns against human wisdom and the danger of moving away from the truth of Christ.
