2 Corinthians, 1

12. For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience that we have behaved in the world, and still more toward you, with holiness and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God.

Chapter 1 of 2 Corinthians talks about God's comfort in the midst of the afflictions and tribulations that Christians face. 2 Corinthians 4:8-10: "In everything we are troubled but not distressed; perplexed but not discouraged. Persecuted but not helpless; slaughtered but not destroyed; always bringing in the body to die from Jesus, so that they may also yours life manifests itself in our body. " This stretch of 2 Corinthians 4 talks about the difficulties that Christians face, but that they do not leave them discouraged, for the life of Jesus manifests itself in their bodies.
