3. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

St. Matthew 24 is known as the "Mount of Olives Speech", in which Jesus talks about the signs of the end times and his return. Mark 13:7: "But when you hear from wars and rumors of war, you are not scary; it is necessary to happen, but it is not yet the end." Jesus talks about the wars and conflicts that will occur before the end of time, but warns that they are not an immediate sign of the end.

Matthew 24:31: "And he will send his angels with a great trumpet clangor, who will gather the chosen from the four winds, from one end of the heavens." Jesus describes the coming of the angels to gather God's chosen ones at the end of time.

Revelation 22:20: "He who testifies these things says, Certainly, I come without delay. Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!" The book of Revelation ends with an appeal to the coming of Jesus, whom Christians await to come and reign in glory.
