In Luke 19, Jesus finds and saves Zacchaeus, a tax collector, and tells the parable of the ten mines, where a man trust his assets to his servants before leaving. The selected verses are as follows:
Deuteronomy 14:28-29: "After three years, you will take the tithe of all fruits of the third year, and you will deposit it in your cities. Then, the Levite will come, because it has no part or inheritance with you, as well as the Foreigner, the orphan, and the widow, who are within your cities, and will eat until they are fed up; that the Lord may bless you in every work that your hands do. " This verse relates to the fact that Zacchaeus returned the money he had extorted four times more and promised to give half of his goods to the poor.
Proverbs 28:13: "Which covers your transgressions will never prosper; but what confesses them and will leave mercy." This passage relates to the story of Zacchaeus because he admitted his sin and promised to make reparations.
Luke 6:38: "Hence, and will be given to you; good measure, repressed, shaken, overflowing, generously will give you; for with the measure with which you have measured you will measure you as well." This passage relates to the parable of the ten mines in Luke 19, where the servants are rewarded for investing well the resources entrusted to them.
2 Corinthians 9:6: "But I say this: He who sows little will also reap; and what sows with abundance with abundance will also reap." This verse relates to the parable of the ten mines, where the servant who successfully invested his mines received ten cities as a reward.
Acts of the Apostles 16:31: "And they said, believe in the Lord Jesus and shall be saved, you and your house." This passage relates to the story of Zacchaeus, which was saved by Jesus because of his faith and repentance, and his house was also blessed by it.
