In chapter 2 of 2 Thessalonians, Paul addresses the question of Christ's return and the emergence of man from sin, a deceiving leader who opposes God and arises above all that is considered divine or sacred. He warns the Thessalonians not to be fooled by false doctrines or signs and urges them to remain firm in the truth of the Gospel. Following five verses that relate to the topics covered in 2 Thessalonians 2:
Matthew 24:23-26: "If anyone then tells them, 'See, here is Christ!" Or, 'There he is!', Do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will arise that will perform great signs and wonders to, if possible, deceive even the elected. See that I warned them in advance. So if someone tells them: ' He's in the desert! ', Don't leave; or,' There he's! ', Don't believe it. 1 John 4:1: "Beloved, do not believe in any spirit, but examine the spirits to see if they proceed from God, for many false prophets have come out around the world."
