Judges, 14

16. And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, "You only hate me, you do not love me; you have put a riddle to my countrymen, and you have not told me what it is." And he said to her, "Behold, I have not told my father nor my mother, and shall I tell you?"

Judges 14 tells the story of Samson, one of the judges of Israel, who asks his parents to look for a wife for him among the Philistines. They agree, but Samson falls in love with a woman who doesn't please her parents. During the wedding, Samson proposes a riddle to the party guests, who is only resolved with the help of Samson's wife. He gets furious and kills thirty Philistine men to fulfill the bet. Proverbs 14:15: "The fool believes in everything, but the prudent man knows how to think of his actions." Samson acts impulsively in judges 14, being carried away by their emotions and desires without considering the consequences of their actions.
