Hebrews 13 deals with various exhortations and final encouragement to believers, including fraternal love, hospitality, memory of the imprisoned and mistreated, sexual purity, contentment and confidence in God. Here are five relevant verses of other Bible books:
James 2:15-16: "And if the brother or sister are naked and lack of everyday job, and some of you tell them: go in peace, warm and bound; and do not give them the necessary things to them For the body, what benefit will come from there? " This verse addresses the importance of hospitality and care for the needy, a theme emphasized in Hebrews 13.
Philippians 4:11-12: "I do not say this as by necessity, because I have learned to content with what I have. I know I know how to have abundance; in every way, and in all things I am instructed, both to be abundant and hungry; both to have abundance and to suffer need. " This verse relates to the exhortation of Hebrews 13 to contentment and trust in God in all circumstances.
1 Peter 4:8-9: "But above all, it tends to be burning with each other; for love will cover the crowd of sins. Hospitable thirst for each other without murmuring." Here we have another verse that emphasizes the importance of fraternal love and hospitality, both topics highlighted in Hebrews 13.
1 Thessalonians 4:3-4: "For this is the will of God, your sanctification; May you abstain from prostitution; let each one of you know his vase in sanctification and honor." This verse relates to the exhortation of Hebrews 13 for sexual purity and honor in marriage.
Colossians 4:18: "The greeting is of my own hand, of Paul. Remember my prisons. Grace be with you. Amen." This verse relates to the exhortation of Hebrews 13 to remember the incarcerated and mistreated, reminding the readers of Colossians the arrest of Paul and asking them to remember him in their prayers.
