Leviticus, 12

7. Who shall offer it before the LORD, and make an atonement for her; and she shall be cleansed from the issue of her blood. This [is] the law for her that hath born a male or a female.

Leviticus 12 deals with the purification of women after delivery. God gives Moses instructions on what women should do after giving birth to a boy or a girl, including the period of purification and the sacrifices that must be offered. Below are five verses related to the topics covered in Leviticus 12.

Luke 2:22: "And when their days of purification were fulfilled, according to the law of Moses, they brought him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord." This verse talks about compliance with purification laws according to the law of Moses, something that is addressed in Leviticus 12.

Luke 2:23-24: "According to what is written in the law of the Lord: Every male who opens the mother will be called the Lord to the Lord; and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the law of the Lord, a pair of rolls , or two lovebirds. " These verses refer to the sacrifices that should be offered after the birth of a boy, as described in Leviticus 12.

Luke 2:27: "And came through the Spirit to the temple, and when parents brought the baby Jesus, to do with him according to the custom of the law," this verse refers to the fulfillment of the law of purification by Mary and Joseph after the Birth of Jesus.

Galatians 4:4: "But coming the fullness of time, God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law," this verse talks about the birth of Jesus and his birth as a human being under the law, including the law Purification Law described in Leviticus 12.

Hebrews 10:1: "For the law, having the shadow of future goods, not the exact image of things, never, for the same sacrifices that continually offer each year, can improve those who come to them." This verse refers to the sacrifices offered according to the law of Moses, including the purification sacrifices described in Leviticus 12, and how they cannot bring perfection to those who offer them.
